MHYC's active Junior Program centers around the Crow's Nest Sailing Camp. The camp teaches sailing and watercraft skills to children between the ages of 7 and 16 inclusive. For younger sailors (or those just wanting to get a taste of boating) there is the Start Opti Sailing program on Wednesday evenings. This program runs for 5 weeks. For the older and more experienced sailers (13 to 18 years olds) there is the Sail Race Team.
The Club also encourages all its youngsters to participate in Swim Team. Practices are held weekdays and competitions with other area clubs are one or two evenings every couple of weeks.
Although the above activities are the primary focus of MHYC's Junior Program, it also supports other sailing events. See the Junior's Sailing Calendar for a schedule of these events.
