Club Races are scheduled for Sunday mornings (pursuit starts) and Wednesday Evenings (WBCR-Wednesday Beer Can Races) weather permitting. New for 2011 is FBCR-Friday Beer Can Races. We are trying Fridays when there is a Wednesday conflict and depending on how well accepted it is, we may have all weekeday races on Friday.

BCR is a fun series for those who don't take themselves too seriously. Read the WBCR rules. The winner every Wednesday gets more than just bragging rights in the lounge after the races, he/she also wins free beer. And if the weather doesn't support being on the water, we will gather in the club for some wii competition instead. Beer for the winner.

** Reverse Starts updated 6/30** We also have several special event races held on the holiday weekends. Two day mini regattas are held on the Memorial Day and Labor Day Holiday weekends. These typically consist of three morning races, two on Sunday and one on Monday. These races use the reverse start handicap system.

The Fourth of July is another fun race called the Fish & Iron which goes from Mentor to Grand River and back to Mentor. It is a great family race that is fun for the regular racers as well as cruisers. This race also uses the reverse start handicap system which makes for a very exciting finish.
